Supportive care
"Badr — the full moon. Full presence. Full light. For the people we serve."

Like the full moon that guides on the darkest nights, we show up — reliably, completely, and with enough care to light the way toward lasting positive change.

Person-centred support

Who We Are

Built for the moments when the path feels unclear

There are moments in a family's journey with disability when the system feels overwhelming — when you have sat through enough meetings to fill a filing cabinet, but still feel like no one has truly seen your person.

Badr Wellness Collective was created for those moments. We are a newly established Australian provider of specialist behaviour support and disability support services — built from the ground up with a single purpose: to provide the kind of support we would want for someone we love.

Our name comes from the Arabic word Badr — the full moon. The full moon does not generate its own light. It reflects light back to the world, quietly and consistently, on the nights when it is needed most. That is what we aspire to be for the participants and families we serve.

Our Practices

Two connected services, united by one vision

Badr Wellness Collective operates across two connected practices — each focused on a distinct area of care, but sharing the same values, the same standard of care, and the same commitment to the people they serve.

Our Values

What guides everything we do

Our values are not a list on a wall. They are the standard against which every decision, every plan, and every interaction is measured.

🌕
Dignity Above All

Every person we support deserves unconditional respect — regardless of their disability, their behaviour, or the complexity of their needs. Dignity is not earned. It is inherent.

🤝
Genuine Partnership

We do not do things to people. We work alongside them. Participants, families, and carers are active partners in every decision that affects their lives.

💡
Evidence Over Assumption

We assess, observe, and listen before drawing conclusions. Our practice is grounded in current behavioural science and clinical evidence — not guesswork.

🌱
Whole Person, Not Just Behaviour

Behaviour does not occur in a vacuum. We look at the whole person — their life, context, history, and strengths — before developing any strategy.

The Meaning Behind Our Name

Badr — the full moon

Badr is the Arabic word for full moon — the moon at its most complete, most luminous, and most present.

The full moon does not generate its own light. It reflects the sun's light back to the world — quietly, consistently, and without asking anything in return. On the darkest nights, it is the full moon that guides the way.

The brain, like the moon, holds extraordinary complexity beneath a calm surface. It governs everything — how we feel, how we communicate, how we connect with the world. When the brain is supported well, when the conditions are right, people flourish.

The full moon also marks a moment of clarity — when things that were hidden become visible. In our work, this means taking the time to truly understand each person. To look beyond the surface of a behaviour and ask what is really happening.

Badr. Full presence. Full light. Full moon.

The meaning of Badr

Like the moon reflecting the sun's light — we reflect each person's own strengths back to them, helping them shine on the nights when the world feels dark.
